The Teddy lounge chair was designed by Viggo Boesen in 1936. The name of the lounge chair both refers to theappearance of the chair as well as the feeling when leaning back into the embracing chair. In the same iconic design,you find the matching Teddy footstool. The footstool completes the lounge chair and adds extra comfort. Teddy has a curvy silhouette and functional design. The chair won a design competition the year it was released in 1936. A true statement piece, the stylized “ear flap” chair showcases a curved back that wraps and cradles you with extra-wide arms and a rolled front for added comfort. The lounge chair is handmade in sustainable Indonesian rattan by skilled craftsmen with solid cane bars reinforcing the base of the chair.
